Full Job Description
Due to our ever expanding Private Client offering, we have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our team in Swindon. Our Swindon Private Client offering is noted for its capability across high-end tax advice and estate planning. Mandy Casevant now heads up the Swindon team which has enjoyed significant growth over the past few years.
- Effective and efficient delivery of work on own matters, ensuring matters are profitable and work is resourced at the right levels.
- Build effective relationships with own clients and / or referrers by exceeding client service expectations and where appropriate, support partners on the management and development of larger key clients.
- Agree services being provided to clients with a clear basis for charging and pricing.
- Demonstrate market/ sector knowledge to ensure solid legal advice is given.
- Make decisions on client matters with minimal supervision, referring to partners where appropriate on highly complex or new areas of work
- Develop a profile as an established expert
- Input and implement ideas into the departmental business plan and demonstrate new business success from the BD activities
- Expand network of clients and/or referrers and supports partners in pursuing target clients, intermediaries and contacts with a view to building a pipeline of new business
- Work collaboratively with the team including supporting and supervising more junior members.
Solicitor 8 PQE + - Previous experience within a Private Client team
- Experience of dealing with all aspects of Private Client matters such as Wills, probabte and Trusts
- Strong client management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service
- Experience of active involvement in BD activity
- Proven ability to win new business through successful BD activity
