Assistant to the SENDCO

Working closely with the SENDCo, students, families, staff and external agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally. You will be highly organised, compassionate, proactive and committed to supporting positive outcomes for all students.

Since September 2024, all permanent staff at Highcrest have benefitted from a 9-day working fortnight. The concept is simple: you attend work for nine days and get paid for ten. The tenth day is your dedicated 'Reset Day' - time away from school to catch up on your to-do list, recharge, and invest in your well-being. Staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Colleagues return from their reset day feeling more energised, less overwhelmed, and better able to manage the demands of school life.
