This excellent opportunity for you to join the Surgical Division as an Assistant Service Manager. You will support the Service Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of MSK, helping to deliver a high-quality, efficient and patient-focused service in a fast-paced environment. You will support the coordination of medical rotas, manage leave processes, ensure forward planning of rota production, and act as a key link between Medical Staffing and doctors on rota queries and requirements.Working closely with clinicians, divisional management, Medical Staffing and administrative teams to coordinate activity, support workforce processes and help manage patient pathways.This is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving.This offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in NHS operational management, with exposure to a broad range of operational and performance responsibilities across the Surgical

The Assistant Service Manager will work closely with the Operational and Clinical teams to provide a highly effective and efficient service delivery for the Directorate.

The post holder will have an operational lead role for all administrative functionswith additional responsibilities, working under the direction of the Operational team.

The post holder will have a key role in aiding to deliver the operational plan and supporting the Services developing strategies. The post holder will work closely with the Operational and Clinical teams to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the services.

The postholder will provide effective service management and day to day operational support.
