Full Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Reserves Officer to help care for some of South London's most important wildlife sites.

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of South London's nature reserves, helping habitats and wildlife thrive.
  • Leading practical conservation tasks and supervising volunteers, trainees, contractors and corporate groups.
  • Delivering habitat restoration projects, monitoring progress and helping manage project budgets.
  • Carrying out habitat, species and visitor surveys to support conservation and nature recovery goals.
  • Building positive relationships with volunteers, local communities, partners and stakeholders while promoting London Wildlife Trust's work.

    Full valid UK manual driving license (essential for role)
  • Understanding of woodland and meadow management practises and techniques
  • Some experience of delivering practical conservation work on nature reserves, accompanied by a good range of practical land management skills (from a paid or voluntary role)

    Salary: £27,908 Tenure: Fixed term contract ending 31st March 2028 with possibility of extension/permanent contract We also offer:
