Assistant Research and Development (R&D) Officer

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to join the Joint Research and Enterprise Service (JRES) as an Assistant Research and Development Officer. This 12-month fixed-term role is being offered as maternity cover.

In this role, you will support research governance and facilitation processes, working closely with academics and clinicians, particularly in the oversight and coordination of clinical studies conducted at St George's., The post-holder will provide a high standard of service to researchers, offering continuous support and guidance throughout the research life cycle. This role is vital to ensuring that clinical research conducted at St George's upholds the highest standards of scientific integrity, governance, and ethical practice.

The post-holder will be responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships with research delivery professionals both within the organisation and with external collaborators. The ideal candidate will be able to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment while demonstrating excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills. A strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail is essential.
