Full Job Description

An 18 month fixed term (or secondment for NHS employees) opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Reporting Analyst to join the Business Intelligence team at a very exciting time in the department.
We are currently going through a period of transformation where we are re-shaping how information services are delivered within the organisation, in line with the implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR). The successful candidate will be playing a key role in maintaining our business as usual service whilst we develop new reporting processes.

Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at one of our Trust sites. Remote interviews will not be offered., You will be using your knowledge of reporting and analysis to support operational performance and contribute to national reporting obligations. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, which will be required to engage with stakeholders, define reporting requirements, and deliver an excellent information service. You will work with the utmost accuracy, paying attention to the detail and quality of every report, ensuring that it is relevant and useful to the user., As part of seeking to become more inclusive, we will consider requests for flexible working from the start of your employment. DBS Checks
Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. By applying you are agreeing to this undertaking. If you are successful you will be asked to confirm if you wish to pay in one amount or in instalments. The charges are currently £27.38 for a standard check and £55.38 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.

The post holder will have a confident and self-motivated attitude, good organisational skills and be able to prioritise their own workload in order that deadlines are met and ensure high standards of services are maintained. Advanced spreadsheet skills and knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting is essential. Experience in creating visualisations using Power BI is also highly beneficial. In addition, you will need to be able to effectively communicate with clinical and clerical staff across both internal and external organisations.
