Full Job Description

This is an entry-level role critical to the work of the dedicated area team that has responsibility for implementing a wide range of countryside management activities. You will be assisting with the development of a range of projects covering landscapes, biodiversity, promoting countryside recreation and working with the community to promote understanding and encourage involvement. You will work closely with our fantastic team of volunteers with the ultimate goal of delivering the South Downs Partnership Management Plan and the South Downs National Park Authority's Corporate Plan.

To be part of the team, you will need to have gained at least an Apprenticeship or Diploma in an environmental conservation subject area. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your ability to plan, organise and deliver practical countryside management projects and activities. Strong team working, negotiating, and interpersonal skills are key in working effectively with partners, colleagues, volunteers & local communities to be a success in this role.
