Assistant Ranger

We're looking for an Assistant Ranger to join our team in the north of the county, which includes Kingsbury Water Park, Pooley Country Park and Hartshill Hayes. All are managed with both visitors and wildlife in mind, balancing the needs of recreation with conservation.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Experience of working or volunteering in a country park setting
• Experience of managing a variety of habitats
• Excellent customer service skills
• Practical countryside skills include the use of hand tools, brush cutters or ride-on mowers.
• As you'll be managing a variety of relationships it's important you have strong communication skills and experience of leading on and providing events for children.
• It is essential that you want to work weekends and bank holidays and equally important you can work within a team, providing support to your colleagues, as well as on your own initiative.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are also required.
