Assistant Psychologist - Learning Disability CAMHS

Are you a Psychology graduate seeking a new role? Are you keen on developing your clinical experience in mental health? We'll need you to use your skills to support with quality assessments and interventions and influence service improvements. You will be a vital member of the team helping the system to understand the complete identity of the young person including their intellectual disability, neurodivergence and mental health. You will be the team champion for Routine Outcome Measures (ROM's), I Want Great Care feedback and oversee the team wating list spreadsheets. You will support the facilitation of our clinical groups with parents. You will work on behaviour interventions and psychological assessments with young people under supervision. You will be trained and supported to observe children in school and at home. Within this team you will gain experience of working with children who have moderate to severe Learning Disabilities, Autism and ADHD, behaviours that challenge and often anxiety and low mood.,

• Support with holistic and evidence-based assessments and assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care.
• Contribute to multi-professional assessment and formulation of the needs of child and young person.
• Work closely with families and the education and social care systems to empower them to help the child / young person to achieve their goals.
• Offer psychologically informed and evidence based interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
