Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! We have developed an integrated model of children's community services and are now looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams.,
- Support psychological assessments, interventions, and evaluations under supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
- Assist in the delivery of evidence-based individual and group interventions to children, young people and families.
- Contribute to data collection, audit and service evaluation to inform pathway development and improvement.
- Gain experience in a range of clinical presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, and phobias
- Develop clinical knowledge and reflective practice through supervision, training and peer learning.
- Support cognitive assessments and school-based observations as required.
- Collaborate with team members across MERs and with professionals in other services such as CORE, Eating Disorders and Neurodiversity pathways.
- Engage with CPD opportunities and contribute to a supportive and dynamic team culture. You will support the Clinical Psychologists within the team providing specialist assessment and also support our service development by playing a key role in projects such as the creation of specialist resources, and in our audit and evaluation processes. The post holder will support Children and Young People and their families, delivering high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.

This role is ideal for those looking to develop clinical experience in children's mental health and psychology services, including individuals preparing for clinical training. You'll work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting service delivery through direct clinical work, service evaluation and research activity. We welcome applications from psychology graduates with strong academic backgrounds, previous Assistant Psychologist or relevant clinical experience, and a passion for working in child and adolescent mental health., We would like the people who work for Children and Family Health Devon to be understanding, patient and respectful.
