Assistant Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly, supportive and psychology-led West London Community Eating Disorders Service.

This is an ideal post for a highly motivated individual looking to develop specialist skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of eating disorders while working within a compassionate, multidisciplinary team.

You will play an active role in the continued development and delivery of the service, including delivering evidence-based interventions in both individual and group formats, working jointly with partner services and supporting audits, service evaluation and innovative service development initiatives. Our team draws on a range of evidence-based approaches for eating disorders and values person-centred care in order to meet the diverse needs of our service users.

This role offers excellent opportunities to develop core clinical psychology competencies, including assessment, formulation, intervention, group facilitation, consultation and multidisciplinary working. You will work closely with our experienced team, whilst receiving regular supervision and support from qualified psychological professionals.

1. To support the delivery of psychological assessments of clients, applying

psychological, self-report measures, rating scales, and semi-structured interviews with

service users and others involved in the service user's care, taking into account the

service user's mental health and wellbeing needs.

2. To support the delivery of psychological group interventions, under the clinical

supervision of a qualified psychologist.

3. To support across a range of intervention which involve working with our local

communities to meet the needs of our diverse communities

4. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings.

5. To engage in specific project work to support the clinical team in their offer of delivering

more informal interventions in the community

6. To assist in the design and implementation of service monitoring, audit, quality

improvement, research and development projects within the service, as required.
