Assistant Psychologist

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist (fixed term-18 months) to work in North Durham CAMHS getting more help team. The service provides mental health consultation, assessment, treatment and psychological interventions to young people under the age of 18 years who present with complex mental health needs and risks., We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the team in the delivery of adolescent mental health services; supporting the development of the service and contributing to the provision of excellent, accessible care.

The successful candidate will have a motivation to supporting young people and an ability to be flexible and adaptive to the changing demands of the service and our young people.

Main duties will include:

Audit and evaluation of the serviceData collection and analysisIndirect patient careAssisting in formulation and consultationSupporting assessment and intervention with young people

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
