The Children and Young People's (CYPS) Directorate in Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the well-established multi-disciplinary Mindworks Hub South.

Mindworks Hubs are part of Mindworks Surrey, an alliance of NHS, national and local voluntary sector organisations providing mental health services to children in Surrey using the THRIVE approach. The Mindworks Hub South has the main base in Frimley, with a satellite office in Guildford and the postholder will be required to work across both bases.

This full-time post will be suitable for a passionate and highly motivated Assistant Psychologist interested in ensuring excellent psychological care is accessible for children and young people with complex mental health needs from diverse backgrounds.

Psychology in SABP has a history of being highly valued and clinicians are well supported to develop their generic and specialist skills. The post holder will become an integral member of a dynamic, compassionate and supportive multi-disciplinary team and will have access to regular, high-quality supervision and CPD opportunities., You will be involved in supporting assessments, formulations, the delivery and evaluation of a range of psychological interventions (group and individual) under the direction and supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work, in line with the agreed treatment plan.

You will support the wider team with administering, analysing and reporting on Routine Outcome Measures.

You will assist in clinically related administration, participate in audit, service evaluation and/or research and undertake other relevant project work under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.

You will be conducting reviews, alongside clinical psychologists and other specialist therapists, to ensure that the needs of children and young people waiting for specialist interventions are well understood and safely met.

Working as part of the MDT, you will adapt trauma informed care and iThrive framework principles.

Specific duties will be determined based on skills, experience and operational service requirements, and may vary occasionally as service needs/priorities change.
