Assistant Psychologist

Would you like to join a progressive, skilled and experienced team providing high level treatment for people who have experienced a stroke? We would like to invite applications from highly motivated individuals for the post of Assistant Psychologist (Assistant Psychologist Band 5). The post will be based at Brentwood Community Hospital and the post holder will be expected to work across multiple bases in the area (Brentwood, Basildon, Orsett). The post holder will have regular supervision by an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist specialising in Neuropsychology. In addition, the post holder will work alongside an multidisciplinary colleagues (Clinical Nurse Specialist, Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians, Social Workers, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists). The post-holder will also have the opportunity to link in with a wider Neuropsychology professionals network across NELFT, with monthly meetings across the trust with colleagues in different services., To conduct, under supervision, cognitive and psychological assessments, formulation, and intervention with service users. To triage referrals made to the Stroke service. To keep up to date with developments in psychology, stroke, and psychological therapies in order to maintain the highest possible standard of skills and knowledge. To participate in service development programmes within the team. To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Trust for audit purposes. To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them.
