Full Job Description

The post holder will work as an Assistant Psychologist within the CAMHS Anxiety Disorders Treatment Team (ADTT), supporting the work of qualified psychological professionals and contributing to multi-disciplinary service delivery under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner Psychologist. ADTT provides specialist, formulation-driven CBT for children and young people with anxiety disorders, OCD and tics across Berkshire, within a compassionate and innovative team with strong research links. The role involves supporting evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions, assisting with group work, occasional individual work with children, young people and families, and contributing to training, audit, service evaluation, reports and presentations as required.,

  • Support assessment, formulation and delivery of psychologically informed care for service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner Psychologist, including individual and group-based, time-limited interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with children, young people and families to set achievable goals, manage risk and distress safely, and support recovery within agreed care plans.
  • Assist with the organisation, coordination and delivery of therapeutic groups, and contribute to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings to support holistic care and transitions.
  • Collect, analyse and record clinical and outcome data using standardised measures and Trust systems, ensuring high-quality, accurate and confidential record keeping.
  • Participate in regular clinical and managerial supervision, CPD, training and governance activities, maintaining professional standards and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Contribute to service development, audit, quality improvement and research activities, including data analysis, reports, literature reviews and service user involvement initiatives.
