Assistant Project Manager Falmer, Brighton An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join the Southern Water team at Galliford Try. You will provide crucial support to a Project Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This role will involve a combination of administrative and project-related tasks, often working on larger, complex projects under the guidance of a more experience project manager. What you will be doing:
- Assist with the development of project plans, timelines and resource allocation to assist successful project execution.
- Help to organise and delegate tasks, track progress and ensure deliverables are met.
- Maintain communication with team member, stakeholders, and vendors, facilitating meetings and distributing information.
- Offer administrative support, managing project documentation, preparing reports, document control and scheduling meetings.
- Collect and analyse project data to track progress, identify potential issues and provide regular updates to the project manager.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and help to develop mitigation strategies.
- Support the project manager in monitoring project expenses and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
- Help to ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle and collaborate with the project manager to find solutions.
Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, able to manage your workload whilst collaborating effectively.
- Experience with relevant software and tools e.g. project management software, Microsoft Office Suite
