Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team supporting a major power and energy client. Based onsite near Wirral, you'll be part of a high-performing team delivering complex infrastructure projects within a regulated utilities environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of project workstreamsAssisting with NEC contract administration (including early warnings, compensation events, and documentation)Supporting cost control, forecasting, and risk management activitiesCoordinating with internal teams, contractors, and key stakeholdersAssisting with project governance, reporting, and programme controlsProducing regular progress reports and presentationsEnsuring compliance with client standards, processes, and HSE requirementsHelping to resolve project issues and support smooth project delivery
Essential:
Experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering environmentsUnderstanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) or willingness to develop knowledgeStrong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesCommercial awareness and exposure to project financials or cost reportingConfident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levelsProficient in MS Office and reporting tools

Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Commercial Management, or similar (desirable)Professional accreditation (APM, PMI, RICS) beneficial but not essential
