As part of our Product, Optimisation & Personalisation team, we use experimentation and continuous improvement to make our digital journeys easier, more personal and more effective for customers and colleagues. As an Assistant Product Owner, you will support the delivery and optimisation of key digital customer journeys across Currys' online experience. Working closely with Product Owners, Analysts, Designers and Engineers, you'll help turn customer insights and business requirements into improvements that enhance customer experience and commercial performance. We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in retail, ecommerce, digital trading, customer experience, business analysis or digital product delivery who are looking to develop their career within Product Management. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the management and prioritisation of the product backlog, ensuring requirements and tasks are clearly defined and aligned to business priorities.
  • Defining and documenting user stories, acceptance criteria and business requirements to support product delivery.
  • Supporting the optimisation of digital customer journeys to improve customer experience, engagement and commercial performance.
  • Analysing customer, behavioural and digital performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and inform decision-making.
  • Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design and Analytics teams to deliver product enhancements, experiments and customer-focused solutions.
  • Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to the continuous improvement of digital products, processes and customer journeys.

Experience within a retail, ecommerce, digital, customer experience, business analysis or product-focused environment.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of digital initiatives, projects or customer-focused improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
  • An understanding of customer journeys and the factors that influence online customer behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Desirable:
  • Retail or transactional ecommerce experience.
  • Experience working with digital customer journeys, online trading or conversion optimisation.
  • Exposure to A/B testing, experimentation or digital analytics.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Coordinator or similar role.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and product development practices.
