Full Job Description
Birmingham Adult Education Service (BAES) is seeking four qualified and experienced teachers in IT and Business to deliver programmes from Entry 3 through to Level 3 for the 2026/27 academic year. We are committed to ensuring that every learner receives an exceptional learning experience, achieves excellent outcomes, and progresses confidently to their next steps.,
- Plan and deliver high-quality, learner-centred IT and Business Teaching, Learning and Assessment, meeting a wide range of learner needs including those requiring additional support or stretch and challenge.
- Demonstrate a strong record of successful Digital Skills delivery with measurable learner impact.
- Provide effective advice, guidance and support that helps learners achieve their long-term goals.
- Support the development of schemes of work and high-quality teaching and learning materials.
- Share good practice and actively contribute to continuous improvement.
- Participate in internal quality assurance activities for accredited qualifications.
- Conduct initial assessments as part of the Admissions process in the months leading up to September. Why join BAES?

A minimum Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, IRR). - A relevant Subject Specialist qualification at Level 3 or higher, or equivalent industry experience in shortage areas.
- If not already held, you may be required to achieve this within two years of appointment.
- Minimum Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE 9-4 or equivalent).
