Full Job Description
The post holder will provide skilled support under the direction of a senior dietitian to children and young people with a physical or learning disability with eating and drinking difficulties. The post holder will also work closely with the team on the roll out of an innovative education and training programme for professionals working with selective eaters.
The purpose of this post will be to help with both clinical and administrative tasks which are all part of the child's care. Training and support will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The Children's Community Therapy Service is a specialist multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Support and Admin staff.
This role will involve the practitioner using excellent communication skills to work with children and young people and their families, groups, webinar and workshops, schools, communities and with carers across the age range from birth to 18 years old. The therapy will be delivered both virtually and face to face within the local community involving travel to various health, education and social care venues. The post holder will also support the dietitians to provide training to other professionals.
