This Assistant Planning Officer post within Development Managementoffers a superb opportunity to develop your career in planning and play an important role within our high performing Development Management service, working to support sustainable economic growth in the East Riding.
You will work alongside professional planning colleagues and deal with a range of household and minor planning applications, general planning enquiries and provide technical support and a contact for a wide range of customers. Your work will involve undertaking site visits and meetings. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who can demonstrate a desire to progress a career in Planning.
Training opportunities will be plentiful - we hold monthly training events, regular away days and mentoring arrangements to support staff who wish to further their qualifications and gain chartered town planner status. The job is advertised for internal applicants only.
