However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The post holder will provide direct assistance to the Overseas Business and Performance Manager supporting the management of Overseas legislation and related Department of Health and other guidance and oversee the identification, interview, assessment, and investigation of Overseas Visitors across both the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and Cornwall Foundation Trust., You will work flexibly supporting the operational Directorates in the day-to-day performance management of Overseas Visitors, as well as providing advice and support to ensure the delivery of effective Overseas Visitor management across the healthcare system. You will act as a point of reference for queries on the application of the Overseas guidance and lead on audit programmes to monitor adherence. - Experience of dealing with highly complex information.
- Evidence of success in roles requiring ability to work on and progress range of complex issues simultaneously.
- Significant proven experience in managing administration functions
- Able to demonstrate level of administrative/management knowledge and theory.
- Proven experience of managing patient pathways.
- Experience of successfully dealing with people at all levels Desirable
- Experience of similar or role of equivalent seniority within the NHS
- Previous NHS operational management experience
- Knowledge of Overseas Visitor legislation and DOH guidance., Knowledge of health services management through training and experience to degree level
- ECDL or equivalent experience in Microsoft Office and email applications
- 5 GCSE grade C or above or equivalent, including Mathematics and English Desirable
- Management qualification or equivalent Skills Essential
- Comprehensive planning and organisation skills
- Strong ability to influence others at all levels
- A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it, likely to be gained through having undertaken roles at similar levels within the NHS.
- Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences.
- Ability to analyse and interpret information, pre-empt, and evaluate issues, and recommend and appropriate course of action to address the issues.
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
