Full Job Description
Are you passionate about promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people, and survivors of domestic abuse? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant practitioner to work in Nottingham Citys Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
The post will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a multi-agency team in partnership with a range of agencies from across the safeguarding partnership, such as the Police and Childrens Services, whilst also being a part of the wider CityCare Safeguarding Team. You will undertake a number of key functions within the MASH, sharing relevant health information to help ensure that children and young people in Nottingham City receive the right help at the right time.
This is a 22.5 hour permanent (3 days a week).
Working pattern: Monday Friday 9-5., The Assistant MASH Practitioner will be responsible supporting the delivery of CityCares key functions within the MASH including:
To have day to day responsibility for the MASH inbox working autonomously (support from the wider team will be readily available) to prioritise work and support the Safeguarding Team.
To summarise relevant health information from SystmOne and ensure accurate and up to date recording on SystmOne is maintained as per CityCares record keeping policy.
To provide partner agencies within MASH, with a summary of health information to assist in the assessment of risk within the remit of the Caldicott principles, following the MASH Information Sharing Agreement.
To provide a summary of health information for the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and support where appropriate.
To communicate with a broad range of internal and external staff, agencies and stakeholders.
To escalate concerns when necessary to the MASH Professional Lead, MASH Practitioner and/or the wider Safeguarding Team, CityCare clinicians and the Named Nurse/Head of Safeguarding.
To have excellent organisational and IT skills.
Receive incoming and initiate outgoing Teams calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communication.
Maintain information in a way that is secure and in line with confidentiality, the MASH ISA, and Data Protection Policies & Procedures (manual and electronic)
