Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager (on a 12-month fixed term contract; secondment opportunities will be considered) who is able to encourage a workplace culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support. As an assistant manager within Gloucestershire County Council Day Care Services you will report to the Day Centre Manager and hold day-to-day responsibility for ensuring that services offered are caring, safe, effective, well-led and responsive. You will achieve this through engaging with those who access our services and through line management of the staff team. As an assistant manager you will also support the manager with quality assurance and auditing work, alongside participating in appropriate project work. The Beeches is a Community Resource Centre for adults with learning disabilities within the Stroud District boundaries. People generally attend one to five days a week taking part in a range of social and creative activities. The Resource Centre at Cainscross is a purpose-built building where there are facilities to meet the needs of adults with severe learning disabilities as well as people with learning disabilities who wish to access the local community with support. Our Services are continuously evolving, and as such, this role and related responsibilities may be subject to minor change.,
