Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be a key member of the office team involved in supporting the General Manager to deliver a seamless experience across all areas of the Club including:

  • Financial controls across all aspects of the golf operation such as cash control and
  • daily takings
  • Support to Department Heads and management of HR queries
  • Provision of excellent Member and Guest experience on and off the course
  • Management of potential and new members induction
  • Administration and accurate recording of member handicaps through the recognised
  • Golf Systems i.e. the World Handicapping System (WHS) platform.
  • Logistics and running of golf competitions and events
  • Responsibility for Club Health and Safety policies and Procedures

    Army Golf Club are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team. This
  • role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and providing exceptional guest services for our members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the golf industry, with the ability to manage various tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service., A Strong background in golf customer service and hospitality excellence with the following skill sets.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and
  • team members professionally.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and technology for administrative tasks such as IG.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well
  • as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
  • Understanding and use of Social Media Channels for marketing and member
  • communications
  • Retail experience is beneficial

    Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with the experience and skills of the applicant.
  • Hours: Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00, but further attendance may be required when necessary.
  • Holidays: 20 days plus 8 statutory Bank Holidays.
