We are seeking a committed and proactive Assistant Lawyer to join the Housing & Litigation Team (Prosecutions) within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The postholder will support and manage a caseload of legal matters, particularly focusing on housing-related litigation and prosecutions. You will be responsible for the conduct of legal proceedings, including preparing cases, advising clients, and representing the council in court when necessary.,

• Manage a varied caseload of housing litigation and prosecution matters.
• Provide timely, high-quality legal advice and support to internal clients.
• Prepare legal documentation and represent the Council in court and tribunals.
• Liaise with external partners, enforcement agencies, and counsel as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
  
  A legal qualification (e.g. LLB, LPC, or equivalent) and/or legal practice experience.
• Strong knowledge of housing law, civil litigation, and criminal prosecutions.
• Excellent advocacy, communication, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently under the supervision of a Senior Lawyer.
