About this opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to work as a team member in the design of highway improvement and maintenance schemes within the Eden area.

The successful applicant will require an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in responding to queries from the public and parish councils on design and maintenance queries.

Have an ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all internal levels and externally with framework contractors.

The successful candidate will work within the Eden Network Team and help oversee the delivery of the highway capital and revenue programmes delivered through the Council's in-house operational team and framework contractors, to highway specifications, timescales, legal obligations, and within budgetary targets.

They will be self motivated and have the ability to work as an effective Team Member being able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.

Have a flexible approach to work.

Demonstrate good IT capabilities.

Experience of working in a relevant technical team environment is preferable full training will be given.

Have ability to tackle issues from a conceptual/theoretical base and have the ability to work innovatively to develop an effective service delivery.
