Full Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional and dedicated SENCo to join our leadership team at Royton & Crompton E-ACT Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive an ambitious, inclusive SEND strategy and make a lasting difference to the lives of our pupils. As SENCo, you will lead and manage SEND provision across the academy, ensuring high-quality support for all pupils with additional needs. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver effective interventions, promote inclusive practice, and remove barriers to learning. We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with strong leadership skills, a clear vision for inclusion, and a commitment to raising outcomes for every learner.   • Lead and manage SEND provision across the academy, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Develop and implement effective SEND strategies to support student progress and inclusion
  • Coordinate assessment, identification, and provision for pupils with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements
  • Monitor and track the progress of SEND pupils, implementing targeted interventions
  • Pay range: Salary L11-L16 - £66,368.00 - £75,049.00

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo), or willingness to achieve
  • Degree or relevant qualification in education or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and strategic planning skills
