Assistant Headteacher (SENCO)

We are seeking an exceptional and dedicated SENCo to join our leadership team at Royton & Crompton E-ACT Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive an ambitious, inclusive SEND strategy and make a lasting difference to the lives of our pupils. As SENCo, you will lead and manage SEND provision across the academy, ensuring high-quality support for all pupils with additional needs. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver effective interventions, promote inclusive practice, and remove barriers to learning. • Lead and manage SEND provision across the academy, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
• Develop and implement effective SEND strategies to support student progress and inclusion
• Coordinate assessment, identification, and provision for pupils with additional needs
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
• Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements
• Monitor and track the progress of SEND pupils, implementing targeted interventions
Pay range: Salary L11-L16 - £66,368.00 - £75,049.00


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo), or willingness to achieve
• Degree or relevant qualification in education or a related field
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
• Excellent leadership, organisation, and strategic planning skills
