Assistant Headteacher

Uppingham Community College are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, inspiring and highly motivated Assistant Head teacher who will provide inspirational learning experiences for our pupils and be highly committed to improving outcomes for all. Specific areas of responsibility for this role are Personal Development Curriculum, Destinations, ACE Days, Assemblies and Work Experience. In addition you will be the SLT link to our Student Council Lead and House System Lead.,

• To deliver highly effective strategic leadership in a range of areas across UCC.
• To support the UCC vision 'Everyone at UCC thrives' and deliver impact in specific aspects of the UCC Strategic Plan.
• To line manage and develop key leaders at UCC to ensure high quality outcomes for all groups of children.
• Be a proactive member of the SLT, contributing to school leadership, duties, operational priorities and whole-school improvement initiatives as they arise.
  
  Qualified teacher status
• Degree
Experience:
• Successful leadership experience in a secondary school.
• Experience of leading whole-school initiatives and improvement projects.
• Experience of monitoring performance and driving positive outcomes.
• Experience of building effective relationships with staff, students, parents and external partners.
Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Secure knowledge of curriculum and school improvement.
• Ability to analyse data and drive improvement.
• Strong organisational and strategic planning skills., Depending on your role, occasional travel between Discovery locations may be required. A valid driving license and appropriate business insurance are necessary, and you will need to provide evidence of these documents
