About the Role We are seeking an ambitious, dedicated, and experienced leader to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Headteacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in English leadership and upper Key Stage 2 teaching, particularly Year 6. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving whole-school improvement, with a specific focus on raising standards in English. They will also share teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in preparation for transition to secondary education. What we are looking for: · An innovative leader who embraces and develops new ideas, and then pursues them to completion. · You should have a strong record of working collaboratively within a team being innovative, creative and a strategic thinker, able to turn ideas and opportunities into successful practice. .You must have teaching experience across key stages, including in Year 6 · You uphold high expectations of students daily and model this to colleagues across the school. · Able to challenge current practice, build upon excellence and ensure that students are at the centre of learning. · Passionate, positive and with a warm sense of humour yet able to energise, motivate and lead others to reach the highest standards. · You have a proven track record of achieving strong student progress and have high expectations for all. · You are a positive team player with a strong commitment to making the Anglo-Portuguese School of London the best place to work for all staff. What we can offer you: . 2.5 days out of class for leadership duties, 2.5 days teaching time with PPA.
