Assistant Head of Sixth Form

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Head of Sixth form to support the leadership and management of Chingford Sixth Form providing excellent pastoral care to ensure our continued success and development and to support the Director of Sixth Form and Deputy Head of Sixth Form in the day-to-day management.

The duties of the role include embodying the Sixth Form ethos and supporting the team in delivering strong pastoral care, monitoring attendance and punctuality, and upholding behaviour policy for post-16 students. Responsibilities include leading assemblies, supporting the tutor programme, responding swiftly to safeguarding and mental-health concerns, contributing to parents' events, and assisting with the UCAS process through checking personal statements and preparing students for interviews. The role also involves supporting KS5 lesson and tutor-time monitoring, helping with Sixth Form marketing such as Saturday interviews and school roadshows, leading post-16 projects as directed, supporting students with university pathways, and carrying out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Director of Sixth Form
