An excellent opportunity has arisen at Ringway Golf Club for an ambitious, committed and enthusiastic Greenkeeper to join our friendly team and great club. Ringway Golf Club is an 18-hole Colt / Braid private members club in Hale Barns nr Altrincham, Cheshire founded in 1909 with a full and active playing membership.
Our beautiful and picturesque parkland course is regarded as one of the best in Cheshire. Reporting to the Course Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a strong and enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate should be progress driven, have a keen eye for detail and able to help maintain the course to the very highest standard. With extensive course development plans in progress, the successful candidate will be joining the team at the start of a very exciting journey. They will be given a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills and attributes as well as develop new ones.
The successful candidate will require the following:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent sports turf qualification
- Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years.
- A flexible, well-motivated team player who can also work under their own initiative
- High level of competence with modern greenkeeping machinery and practices
- Prepared to work flexible hours including weekends
- Excellent time management, communication and IT skills
- A desire to continue professional development
- Full UK driving license
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates (preferred)
- CS30 and CS31 chainsaw certificates (preferred)
The Club will offer:
- Full time 40 hours per week
- An attractive salary dependent on qualifications and experience (£32,000 - Level 2 qualified) plus paid overtime
