Full Job Description
The Finance Department comprises a dedicated team of accountants and administrators who provide a professional, customer-focused service to parents, staff, members and customers throughout the year.
The team delivers a comprehensive budgeting, financial processing and reporting function across the Tonbridge School Group, which includes Tonbridge School (Tonbridge), The New Beacon (Sevenoaks), a trading subsidiary, Tonbridge Services Limited, and a fundraising charitable trust, The Tonbridge School Foundation, as well as a number of other related charities and funds.
The Group's activities are diverse and stimulating, incorporating both a senior and preparatory school at its heart, with a private members' sports club, Recre8 educational courses, a thriving theatrical venue, Events programming and a School Shop forming part of its developing commercial activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to support the Director of Finance and play a key role in overseeing financial operations across the Tonbridge School Group. The Assistant Finance Director will ensure the accurate and timely processing of core financial functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and VAT, ensuring high standards of financial management, compliance and service delivery.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a financial management role, either an educational or corporate setting. They will demonstrate excellent numerical and analytical skills, together with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume processing activities effectively.
This is a full time, all year round position.
