Full Job Description

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the SEND Team to meet its statutory requirements in line with the SEND Code of Practice. You will have a good understanding of the SEND framework, schools, other educational provision and local health services The role will involve working closely with families and partner agencies, providing support for specific children or young people on your caseload. You will be required to work in a person-centred way in assisting EHC Plan Coordinators to support families and professionals through the Education Health and Care Needs Assessment process., The SEND team has an obligation to meet the statutory guidelines of the Special Educational Needs (SEN&D) Code of Practice. Our main responsibly is to focus on supporting families through the Education, Health and Care (EHC) process, writing EHC plans and attending review meetings with families. We work closely with a range of key partners and stakeholders' professionals, which results in effective multiagency working. We provide support to families, schools and colleges and other educational settings to ensure children and young people are educated appropriately in the right setting to meet their needs. We will provide you with a supportive working environment and give you the opportunity to learn and develop further within the organisation.

You will be an excellent communicator, verbally and in the written from, self-motivated with a high level of organisational skills and able to work within prescribed timescales and deadlines. You will need strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience and be able to work under pressure with a passion for this area of work.
