Assistant Education Welfare Officer

The Assistant Education Welfare Officer will work under the direction of the Attendance Lead and Education Welfare Officer, supporting students, families and staff to address barriers to attendance and ensure that attendance concerns are identified, recorded and escalated appropriately., As an Assistant Education Welfare Officer within Sidney Stringer Academy, you'll be able to make a key difference to a pupil's educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skill set with key training and development opportunities available.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently and professionally with parents, carers, students, staff and external agencies
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and families
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage records accurately
• Good IT skills, including the ability to use spreadsheets, email and school based systems
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to build good working relationships with a range of colleagues
• Experience of working in a school or education setting
• Knowledge of attendance processes, safeguarding procedures or pastoral systems

Permanent Sidney Stringer Academy You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.
