Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner

Your role will involve spending therapeutic time with service users and supporting a range of clinical, administrative, and supportive tasks as directed by a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or the Service Manager., Please note we're not responsible for the content of job ads, as they're posted by the recruiter. Ability to support in delivering low intensity evidenced based interventions under supervision to children and young people.

-Knowledge of mild to moderate mental health conditions to might affect children and young people (Including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties).

-Knowledge of the whole school approach to mental health.

It would also be an advantage if you have any of the following skills and competencies

-Experience of working within a brief intervention approach.

-Knowledge of Routine Outcome Measures (e.g. RCADS)

-Knowledge of local services and referral pathways.

You'll need:

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-A commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing in schools.

-Able to support and empower children, young people and their parents/carers and families and their educators to make informed choices.

-Have excellent attention to detail, in all aspects of the role.

-The ability to work independentlyand as part of a teamin a fast-paced environment.

-The ability tobuildtrusting relationships and support young people with their mental health.
