Full Job Description
The purpose of the post of Assistant Disability Adviser is to act as a first point of contact for disabled students. The post-holder will provide advice, guidance and support to disabled students, including students with specific learning differences such as dyslexia, and agree and implement appropriate support for them. They will support our team of specialist Disability Advisers and co-ordinate 'non-specialist' human support for Queen Mary students, such as note-taking
The Disability and Dyslexia Service is part of the Student Experience directorate and is Queen Mary University of London's chief vehicle for the implementation of support, including reasonable adjustments, for more than 4,000 disabled students. As such, the service ensures that the university meets its obligations under the Equality Act (2010) and its strategic aims as they relate to student support and inclusivity.
