Assistant Directorate Manager - Urgent and Emergency Care 37.5 Hours per week - Band 7 The post holder will work with the UEC core operational management team supporting the delivery of national and local performance targets and objectives in a very busy clinical environment. This will include specific responsibility and accountability for certain aspects of performance as well as a lead on delegated projects/initiatives to help improve our services. This post holder will also oversee the administrative and clerical functions of the Directorate supported by a Directorate Support Manager. The post holder will be required to meet a number of key daily internal and national reporting standards and take part in regular operational meetings that maintain a focus on the key clinical standards.Main duties of the job Be responsible for the collation, validation and distribution of a series of daily internal and national data sets that provide assurance to the business group around the achievement of key standards and achievement of operational objectives. Be available to clinicians and management staff to discuss the daily operational outputs and embed remedial actions where required Develop and design operational performance related data sets and information using a variety of software packages to enable colleagues to access high quality, usable information quickly and easily Take part in a daily rota within Urgent Care and attend key operational meetings associated with maintaining daily efficiency, flow and productivity Line management of all delegated administration and clerical staff providing professional support, appraisal and escalating issues where appropriate Be the key contact for all recruitment of clinical and non-clinical staff in terms of the substantive advert management and interview processes using internal HR systems Be responsible for all capital equipment orders and asset management across Urgent Care including involvement in the tender processes involving stakeholders at key points during the tender process. Attend key operational monitoring meetings; responding to actions and outcomes for dissemination with clinical and non-clinical staff where required
