Discipline As an Assistant Data Analyst within our Transportation team, you'll work with a wide range of high-profile clients, including National Highways, Transport for London, National Rail, and others. You'll be part of a team that champions data and digital transformation, using innovative approaches to solve real-world transport challenges. You'll be encouraged to challenge yourself, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and grow your career in a way that suits your interests and strengths. As a member of our Data and AI community, you'll develop both your analytical and consulting skills, turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive better decision-making.Your role
- Prepare, clean, and combine data from multiple sources to support analysis.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and data requirements.
- Apply data quality, governance, and best practices in day-to-day analysis.
- Analyse data using descriptive statistics and modelling techniques.
- Build clear dashboards and visualisations for technical and non-technical users.
- Support and improve data pipelines and reporting workflows.
- Communicate insights through concise presentations and written summaries.
- Develop skills in advanced analytics and data science as the role grows.
Some experience in data analysis or analytics roles. - Some experience in at least one programming language, ideally Python.
- Experience in creating charts, dashboards, or reports (e.g. Power BI).
- Awareness of machine learning concepts and common libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Understanding of core statistics and analytical techniques.
- Familiarity source control methods such as Git.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field., Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK without the need for employer visa sponsorship.
