We have brought together a team of 180 consultants and engineers with deep expertise across asset management, intelligent mobility, smart technology, and digital and data solutions within the transport environment. This newly formed, externally facing business is designed to align closely with our clients' evolving needs, while creating fresh opportunities for our people to grow, develop, and thrive as part of a collaborative and innovative practice. Discipline As an Assistant Data Analyst within our Transportation team, you'll work with a wide range of high-profile clients, including National Highways, Transport for London, National Rail, and others. You'll be part of a team that champions data and digital transformation, using innovative approaches to solve real-world transport challenges. You'll be encouraged to challenge yourself, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and grow your career in a way that suits your interests and strengths. As a member of our Data and AI community, you'll develop both your analytical and consulting skills, turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive better decision-making.Your role

• Prepare, clean, and combine data from multiple sources to support analysis.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and data requirements.
• Apply data quality, governance, and best practices in day-to-day analysis.
• Analyse data using descriptive statistics and modelling techniques.
• Build clear dashboards and visualisations for technical and non-technical users.
• Support and improve data pipelines and reporting workflows.
• Communicate insights through concise presentations and written summaries.
• Develop skills in advanced analytics and data science as the role grows.
  
  Some experience in data analysis or analytics roles.
• Some experience in at least one programming language, ideally Python.
• Experience in creating charts, dashboards, or reports (e.g. Power BI).
• Awareness of machine learning concepts and common libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Understanding of core statistics and analytical techniques.
• Familiarity source control methods such as Git.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field., Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK without the need for employer visa sponsorship.
