Full Job Description

The successful applicants will be working as part of a small team in a small kitchen providing light meals, snacks and beverages to the public. The role of Assistant Cook includes:

  • Assisting in the preparation of all food and beverages as and when required, as directed by the cook or manager, whilst ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • To deputise in the absence of the cook - To prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with defined standards and quality, working within CQC guidelines regarding current health safety and hygiene legislation and Health and Safety policy, with the aim of achieving high standards of customer care and good quality at low cost.
  • To help to maintain excellent standards within the kitchen to meet the needs of environmental health and to help maintain our current 5-star hygiene ratings.

We are looking for an Assistant Cook to join our team in the Coffeestop, providing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to develop skills in a friendly working environment.

    A starting salary of £26,427 (pro-rata if working less than 37 hours per week)
