Full Job Description
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person with relevant building control and construction experience, with a qualification in a construction related discipline. You should be willing to learn, have knowledge and experience of the Building Regulations, be IT literate and have your own vehicle to travel around the district in order to carry out duties of the post. If you meet these criteria and you want a career in Building Control, then this is the ideal opportunity.

Cannock Chase Council operate a shared service arrangement with Stafford Borough Council to provide the Building Control service on behalf of both Councils. The role of Building Control is varied, being recognised as making an important contribution to the construction process. Being involved from inception through to completion of a building, Building Control staff facilitate safe and efficient construction.
The key responsibilities include:
Checking plans (indoors)
Site inspections (outdoors)
Issuing completion certificates
