This role is a zero hours contract, term time only (September - May).
About the Role
To assist with the planning, implementation and delivery of an effective coaching programme for the NTU Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club allowing students to participate to the best of their abilities. This may include both group and individual sessions, and the creation of yearlong programmes. To assist the lead coach in ensuring that (where appropriate) individuals have relevant access to NTU's range of support services (where available), including sport science, strength and conditioning, performance analysis and physiotherapy, liaising with all partners on a regular basis. To assist the lead coach and club committees in developing and implementing an effective squad selection and taster session process. Work in partnership with other NTU Sport staff members and club committee(s) to ensure optimal development of the sport at the university.
Working Pattern
The current coaching schedule listed below is for term time only (September-May) but could be subject to change ahead of the 2025-2026 academic year. This will be discussed at interview.
- Monday 5:30pm-7:00pm
- Wednesday 9:00am -10:30am
- Saturday 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Our Clifton campus is home to the Sports Hub, a fully floodlit all-weather astro-turf pitch, three brand new squash courts, an exercise studio, sports hall, grass pitches and a newly refurbished fitness suite. Our Equestrian Centre at Brackenhurst features both indoor and outdoor arenas and holds a variety of events throughout the year, including unaffiliated and affiliated dressage competitions, and unaffiliated show jumping.
