Assistant Base Lead

Unity Education Trust are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Assistant Base Lead to join our education team at Douglas Bader for maternity cover.

As Assistant Base Lead (ABL), you will be managing pastoral aspects of our school life including safeguarding, attendance, engagement and behavior, working alongside teaching professionals and managing a team of Teaching Assistants. This role is pivotal in supporting the smooth running of our school and as such, it would suit someone with extensive experience supporting young people with additional needs.

The successful candidate will have their own caseload of pupil premium pupils to manage, track, monitor and support.

· Ideally have experience of working in a secondary school environment with challenging students

· Have excellent ICT and administrative skills

The ideal candidate must have enthusiasm, drive and dedication in pursuing a career that supports cohorts of students who need the most guidance, help and support., This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

This post will come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations, and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
