Full Job Description
You will be working in the Finance Enabling Function based in Leavesden, Watford in where we are responsible for protecting and growing a successful Skanska UK with predictable, profitable and sustainable performance. We partner with the business to deliver excellent financial services, efficient processes and robust governance - ensuring every decision supports our shared future. We are currently looking for a Assistant Accountant - Accounting who will support accurate financial reporting by processing and checking cost transfers, recharges and balance sheet reconciliations. As the Assistant Accountant - Accounting, you will:
- Prepare and check cost transfers in project accounts.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and work with teams to resolve issues.
- Calculate, post and reconcile internal recharges accurately.
- Respond to audit questions about allocations, recharges and reconciliations
- Help improve, standardise and automate finance processes.
- Work closely with finance teams and Operating Units to provide good service. We are looking for:
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices.
- Experience preparing and reviewing accounting adjustments, recharges and balance sheet reconciliations.
- ERP System knowledge and Oracle System Knowledge.
- Experience of process improvement and automation and supporting audit queries and compliance requirements. What we offer:
