Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable M&E Asset Surveyor to support a major mobilisation programme across a national education estate, including colleges, secondary schools, primary schools, and academies., This is a field-based role focused on end-to-end asset capture, condition assessment, and lifecycle data validation across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building fabric systems.
Your role will involve providing technical expertise to ensure all statutory and contractual obligations are met while supporting planned maintenance strategies and capital investment planning.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out detailed MEP and Fabric asset surveys across multiple educational sites
Capture, verify, and validate asset data using approved mobile data-capture systems
Ensure compliance with Uniclass 2015 classification standards
Undertake structured condition surveys, lifecycle assessments, and compliance checks
Identify missing, duplicate, obsolete, or incorrectly tagged assets
Produce structured asset registers aligned with AIM / AIR requirements
Validate asset data against government tagging and information management strategies
Proven experience as an M&E Surveyor within the FM or building services sector.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, regulations, and compliance standards.
Experience in FM, education, healthcare or public sector estates (preferred)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to produce detailed reports and recommendations.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, Disability Confident
