Full Job Description

Company Overview Alloyed is a young venture-funded company built with world-class metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers. Operating from our HQ in the UK but also globally, we are building the future of advanced metal components. Our innovative approach integrates proprietary software that combines advanced machine learning and physical modeling with extensive experimental facilities, enabling us to 3D-print metal components more efficiently and effectively than anyone else. Our facilities in Yarnton and Abingdon, near Oxford, are dedicated to establishing the world's fastest, smartest, and best-equipped environment for the rapid development of additively manufactured parts and the creation of novel metal alloys for enhanced performance. We serve a variety of sectors including electronics, aerospace, and industry by leveraging our cutting-edge technology to build businesses across diverse markets, each with unique requirements, timelines, customers, and cultures. Role Overview Alloyed is currently designing a low-cost microturbine system for jet propulsion applications. The company is seeking experienced assembly technicians to produce and build these microturbines. The role will involve all aspects of manufacturing production and quality control. Future phases of the development project may involve scale-up to a larger facility; there is scope to expand the role to include site planning and the set-up of systems and processes for large production runs. You will be based at Alloyed's HQ in Yarnton. Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Work in line with the QMS, maintaining compliance at all times.
  • Inspect and verify assembled parts to meet quality and engineering standards.
  • Support the set-up and optimisation of assembly processes and workstations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities, identifying ways to improve efficiency, quality, or throughput.
  • Assist in scaling production processes to support increased manufacturing volumes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, checks, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Essential Skills
  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience.
  • Experience following SOPs and complying with a QMS.
  • Desired Skills
  • Production engineering experience for manufacturing.
  • Experience creating and owning SOPs, and identifying and implementing process improvement measures.
  • Experience setting up assembly systems.
  • Experience scaling up existing manufacturing facilities to allow for larger production runs.
