Full Job Description
- Some self-Inspection of repeat work using the appropriate inspection equipment (training to be given)
- Perform assembly tasks closely working with aerospace drawings.
- Advise Team Lead and production engineering team of production issues and defects.
- Supporting and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase production.
- Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead
- Develop and maintain effective working relationship with peers and support teams.
- Adherence to all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.
- Adhere to housekeeping, 5s and FOD rules ensuring a best in class organized working environment is always maintained
We're looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team and play a key role in the production of high-quality aircraft interior components. If you have a strong background in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement, we want you to be part of our innovative and growing company. This is a hands-on role, you will be responsible for the operation of machinery within our Hi-Tech machine shop producing low batch high mix production runs of component parts for the Aircraft interiors business, if you have an eye for detail and manufacturing experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you., - Previous assembly background preferred.
- Ability to read drawings
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office software
- Experience of lean manufacturing techniques
- Experience in completing projects for process improvement. Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Metallurgy Knowledge: A solid understanding of materials and their properties.
- Aerospace / automotive manufacturing assembly
- Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Microsoft Office: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to document and report on performance.
- Process Improvement: Experience in leading or supporting process improvement projects.
