of our team membersJob DescriptionAsbestos AnalystThis is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding environments while helping to drive the success and growth of our business.As SOCOTEC continues to grow, were expanding our Environment & Safety Division and are looking for a dedicated Asbestos Analyst to join our team and wear the badge with pride.Were seeking a proactive, adaptable, and committed professional who can work confidently both independently and as part of a team. In this role, youll be instrumental in identifying, monitoring, and analysing asbestos to ensure the safety of buildings and the people who use them. Your expertise will support projects across diverse sectors, including defence, rail, roads, power stations, retail, heritage and service sectors, giving you the chance to make a real impact every day.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to) Youll carry out testing, inspection and reporting to the highest standards,
ensuring compliance with SOCOTEC quality procedures and Health & Safety guidelines Conducting asbestos surveys, air sampling, fibre counting, and four-stage clearance tests Maintaining and calibrating equipment, ensuring a clean and safe working environment Recording and issuing accurate analytical reports Liaising with clients, project managers, and internal teams to deliver work to agreed timescales Identifying opportunities to support SOCOTECs wider servicesQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate Must hold BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications (or RSPH Level 3 in Asbestos Air Monitoring) Industry experience essential with proven track record of conducting a similar role Hold a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good client-facing skills confident in liaising with contractors, project managers, and stakeholders Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data
