Full Job Description
Support the Head of Arts in the development and delivery of art strategies in relation to Capital and Redevelopment projects, including curatorial research and the preparation of presentations
Independently project manage selected projects as agreed by the Head of Arts, taking responsibility for developing art strategies, briefs and contracts as well as relationship management, production and delivery.
Research, write and develop policy documents relating to the long-term care of the collection.
Ensure all artists and contractors have completed the appropriate training, assessments and security checks.
Manage the installation of artworks and exhibitions, including directing art handling teams and occasional moderate lifting.
Communicate with wards, depts., clinical, financial and play staff to convey complex arts specific information to staff and recruit them to enable, support or participate in projects

GOSH Arts is seeking an Art Manager (Built Environment) to join the team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of ambitious art commissions linked to redevelopment and capital projects across the Trust, while also managing the GOSH Art Collection. The successful candidate will have experience working with artists to develop and deliver artworks in public settings and be confident managing projects involving multiple stakeholders. You will understand the value of creative consultation and co-design and how these approaches can strengthen project outcomes.
While previous experience in a healthcare setting is not essential, you should demonstrate awareness of the challenges and opportunities that are associated with commissioning artwork in a paediatric hospital.
