Art Technician

This role is much more than managing supplies, it is about supporting a living, breathing creative space where experimentation and refining ideas are part of the artistic process. While ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department, you will have the opportunity to share your technical expertise directly with students and teachers, bringing fresh creative energy into the classroom.,

• Providing technical assistance in the classroom, demonstrating practical making techniques across mediums such as fine art, printmaking or digital media and helping students troubleshoot their work.
• Taking the lead in transforming school spaces into galleries, creating eye-catching displays and public exhibitions that celebrate the students' journey from blank canvas to a finished masterpiece.
• Maintaining well-organised preparation rooms, managing stock, materials and equipment and ensuring classrooms are fully equipped and ready for learning.
• Undertaking first line inspection of machines and workshop tools, upholding safe workshop procedures across the department.
